Kensington Home Receives
Chrysalis Award
Marrokal Construction, received a
western
regional Chrysalis Award in the Kitchen Remodel
$40,000-$75,000 category for a home
renovation
in the historic
San Diego
neighborhood of
Kensington at the home of Dan Larson and
Nick Weitzel.
The kitchen remodel
was one aspect of the whole house renovation of
a 1940s post-war wood
frame home. The design concept was to create
a
Hollywood
bungalow feel while
uniting the kitchen, dining and living areas
without destroying the integrity of the home’s
architecture.
